Our growing company is looking for a full-stack engineer who will help real people address their financial challenges so they may become more financially stable. This is a greenfield opportunity to influence all aspects of our product and product development technologies.
We’ll look to you to select many of the tools, platforms, and frameworks necessary to level-up our product. You’ll help us evaluate & select the development platform, and you’ll help hire and lead additional engineers. Some days you’ll have your sleeves rolled up writing code, while other days you’ll be making strategic decisions about integrations, reviewing analytics, or determining our app monitoring processes.
You’ll work alongside our VP of Product who’s big on clear communication, experimentation, and getting the engineering team closer to the customer and stakeholders. Given the breadth of this role, you should be an excellent communicator and a solid generalist who is effective with front-end and back-end development, development platforms and frameworks, integrating with 3rd parties, testing best practices, and CI/CD workflows and integrations.
Evaluate and select a platform strategy that strikes the appropriate balance between scalability and streamlining DevOps Understand and refine requirements, analytics, and potential extensions, and determine the appropriate software architecture (frameworks, database, REST vs. GraphQL, etc.) Proactively identify tools, frameworks, or components that could provide new value for the buyer or users of the product
Establish a sound release process and monitor deployments to ensure they are successful Establish and document standards and patterns that will help maintain a high level of code & product quality Ensure ongoing reliability, security, and performance of the software
Help identify local, remote, offshore, or nearshore resources to fulfill ongoing engineering resources Coach and mentor additional engineers to ensure effectiveness, code quality, and adherence to standards and patterns Work with all areas of the business, including end users, to help guide the product roadmap to achieve the business goals
