Senior Java Software Engineer at MISO

Location: REMOTE; or Carmel, Indiana; Eagan, Minnesota; or Little Rock, Arkansas

MISO is hiring a Senior Software Engineer for our Settlements Application Team! Our Settlements Team collects operational and market participant submitted data to produce daily settlements. In other words, think of this application as a cash register… determines how much, from whom, and to whom money should flow as a result of the various transactions that have occurred within other MISO systems. This application also deals with a high volume of data using MongoDB.

As MISO’s Sr. Software Engineer, you will:

• Collaborate with the product owner and the business, and work closely with teams to define application enhancements and requirements

• Be capable of driving and delivering thin slices of the functionality on a regular cadence with data-driven feedback loops in an agile environment

• Ensure quality through testing automation

• Mentor other developers

We’re looking for a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field, and several years of Java programming experience. Our projects enable new corporate strategies by integrating systems and services through cloud technologies. While the current responsibilities are Java-focused, our Software Engineers work and collaborate with multiple technologies and architectures. We are looking for an individual with the following technical experience:

• Java

• Springboot

• Angular

• MongoDB

Appropriate level will be determined based upon experience and knowledge.
