We're looking for someone to help build and champion our internal UI component library. The ideal candidate is part developer, part designer. They'll have no problem working with researchers, designers, and engineers, and bridging the gaps between those disciplines.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Create and maintain centralized component libraries that are part of a larger Design System Create, maintain, and propagate component library documentation, standards, and usage guidelines Promote the value and adoption of the Design System throughout the organization Turn designs into live prototypes using our component libraries Hand off prototypes to Front-End Engineers or implement them yourself as needed Collaborate closely with UX Designers to iterate on interactions, animations, and details Collaborate closely with UX Researchers to user-test new concepts Work to improve collaboration and communication between the design team and the engineering teams Contribute to front-end systems throughout project lifecycles (start to finish, development and production)

Degree in related studies (Computer Science, Computer Information System, Informatics, etc.), or equivalent real-world experience 3-5 years in Software Engineering or Web Development role Knowledge of MVC programming concepts A strong understanding of DevOps, middleware, and back-end development A strong understanding of Git and/or TFS or another version control system Experience communicating with fast-paced, highly cross-functional teams with multiple stakeholders Familiarity with continuous delivery and agile methodologies
