Website and Infrastructure DevOps I at Regenstrief Institute

The Website and Infrastructure DevOps I will work jointly with Regenstrief’s LOINC and Health Data Standards and Global Health Informatics programs to ensure continuous proper operation, functionality, development, and adaptation of overall infrastructure and online presence for projects related to both units. They will maintain and report on each program’s web infrastructure including but not limited to: WordPress sites, APIs, LDAP services, Discourse, Atlassian sites, Etherpad, and others. They will also be responsible for each program's productivity tools, e.g. Google Workplace, project management, CRM, and help desk platform. They will also help to develop web tools to support annual meetings and analytics reporting.

QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Informatics, UX, Math or related degree or equivalent experience Relevant experience with Web, network, and Linux system administration required Experience working for a software development organization is a plus

TECHNICAL SKILLS Proficient knowledge of Linux server operating systems administration including application installation and configuration. Proficient knowledge of Linux, Linux admin tools required; Apache and Nginx web servers, LDAP, email, DNS, HTTP, shell scripting, SSL/TLS technologies required. Intermediate knowledge of Docker, and database engines (e.g. MySQL/Maria and Postgres) preferred. Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript required. Awareness of CMS platforms. Proficient computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google web tools.

LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to effectively interact and verbally communicate with managers, peers, and members of the LOINC and GHI communities with diplomacy and tact. Ability to summarize complex medical information into clear, concise, and clinically relevant prose. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and protocols, or governmental regulations.
