About this role: Trava is looking for a passionate Cloud/DevOps Engineer to help set the stage for how we build, operate, and scale the Trava platform. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who takes pride in delivering their own work as well as collaborating with others. You should be an experienced engineer who enjoys the variety of work that comes with a startup. This role reports to Trava's CTO.
What you'll do: -A blend of Cloud Engineering (50%), Site Reliability Engineering (25%), and DevOps (25%) -Operationalize serverless and containerized applications running Node.js/Python/Golang -Design, develop and deploy cloud infrastructure and cloud native solutions, leveraging automation techniques to streamline provisioning and management processes across multiple environments -Develop a strategy for monitoring and improving system availability and scalability -Collaborate with software and security architects to manage and improve delivery pipelines -Collaborate with security architect to improve infrastructure and application security -Advocate new patterns to improve Trava engineering team's workflows -Establish operations practices that put Trava's users and our team first -Collaborate with engineering peers to architect, build, and scale our software architecture
What we are looking for: -3+ years of experience deploying/managing software in a production environment -Fluency in one cloud platform (GCP, AWS, Azure); GCP preferred -Experience working with Kubernetes, Docker, and containerized applications -Experience working with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Helm) and GitOps (Flux, ArgoCD) -Experience running DevOps processes and managing CI/CD tool (Gitlab) -Experience with scripting languages (Bash/Python) -Experience with relational and non-relational databases -Some professional experience as a software engineer on a team -A deep interest and appreciation of security
