  • iOS Developer - Two (2) Openings at E-gineering, Inc

    Job Type: W-2 or 1099

    Location: Indianapolis, IN (100% remote/onsite option available after COVID)


    E-gineering seeks two iOS Developers to join our strong team of mobile software developers — developers who possess a passion for working collaboratively with our team to deliver mobile software solutions for our clients with excellence./p>

    1099 Details

    Period: One-year engagement with possibility of extensions

    Remote (US); working during Eastern Time zone


    W-2 Details

    W-2 position would require candidates to locate near Indianapolis, IN. At this time, we do not offer relocation assistance.

    W-2 employees work from home, from E-g's office in Indianapolis, or the client's office depending on client engagement requirements. Current client opportunities support remote work from home.


    Duties and responsibilities


    • Design and build advanced applications for the iOS platform
    • Work on iOS libraries supporting multiple applications
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
    • Work with outside data sources and APIs
    • Unit-test code for robustness, including edge cases, usability, and general reliability
    • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance
    • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
    • Willingness to contribute to all aspects of full software lifecycle beyond development (documentation, meetings, PRs, testing, CI, etc.)

    Requirements and qualifications


    Required

    • BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • 5+ years of software development experience
    • 3+ years of iOS development
    • Swift experience within the iOS environment
    • Source code management via Git/Gitflow
    • Experience working with remote data via REST and JSON
    • Unit testing with XCUnit
    • Working knowledge of the iOS ecosystem, architectures, paradigms, trends, and emerging technologies
    • Solid understanding of the full mobile development life cycle
    • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
    • Unguarded hardworking team player with the ability to initiate and listen as appropriate
    • Good time-management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

    Nice to have

    • CI (continuous integration) experience
    • BLE libraries - Core Bluetooth, RZBluetooth
    • Networking libraries – Moya, Alamofire
    • Comfort and familiarity in regulated industries
    • Have participated in publishing original iOS apps
