We are looking for a Sr. UI Engineer to join our team of engineers. SaaS changed the way software is purchased. Zylo is changing the way software is managed. Zylo is defining a new category of software management, and we think that’s a pretty awesome opportunity. We want you to share in our vision of unlocking the power of SaaS by helping organizations discover, manage, measure and secure their SaaS applications.
We’re looking for a strong frontend-focused Sr. Engineer to help continue to build out our application as we scale the business. This role would range from helping develop a solution to tackle integrating machine learning models to building out product features that you help scope and solution. Our stack is built on AWS with Node, PostgreSQL, React and Redux. We utilize well-supported open source packages like Babel, Webpack.
What you will need:
5+ years of general web or platform development experience with web technologies. 2+ years experience with ReactJS/Redux/Webpack/Babel. Knowledge of object-oriented design principles and methodologies. Strong communication skills, both written and oral. You’re a self starter who is excited about the fast pace of a growing, changing startup environment. What success looks like:
Writes reusable code when appropriate for today, and accommodating for the future. Performs thorough, thoughtful code reviews outside of your scope of knowledge. Coaches others on technical solutions outside their scope of knowledge. Architects and implement whole features from start to finish that perform at scale. Looks to further the team objectives as much as just getting your tasks done. Identifies problems proactively with requirements for features and communicates these issues early. What it’s like to work with us
From a process standpoint, we’re constantly evolving, but here’s a few themes that don’t change.
We give our engineers problems to solve rather than solutions to implement. Features specs aren’t always perfectly written out so we look for self-starters.
We build small features to learn and iterate from. We’re comfortable admitting defeats and throwing away features that don’t make our users’ lives easier. We prefer continuous integration over scheduled releases, so we look for developers able to look at large complex problems and break them down into small pieces of deployable functionality.
We want our engineering team to work in lock-step with the other key areas of our business to build a product our customers love. We want to share our successes and learnings with each other as we continue to grow.
Zylo is an equal opportunity employer, and we value diversity at our company. We don’t discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
